Applications for Distinguished Leadership in a Remote Learning Environment (DLR) are now CLOSED.
DLR Program Description
This professional development model, entitled Distinguished Leadership in a Remote Learning Environment (DLR), is a school-leader professional development program that will take place over approximately 15 weeks. The professional development program will be facilitated both synchronously and asynchronously for cohorts of school leaders.

School leaders will participate in:

-
Virtual facilitated Zoom sessions
-
Online application-based job-embedded activities
-
Virtual interactions with peers and facilitators
-
Structured sharing sessions.
Upon completion of the DLR program, principals selected for the inaugural cohort will also be eligible to be selected for future peer mentoring opportunities focused on working with fellow principals to build their capacity to promote teacher effectiveness and lead in a remote learning environment.
The virtual DLR program is available to practicing principals throughout North Carolina. Principals may apply to attend individually or with their school leadership teams (Principal, Assistant Principals, & Instructional Coaches).
The program, funded by the Department of Public Instruction, is provided at no cost to all selected NC school leaders. Applicants must be committed to participating fully in all virtual sessions and job-embedded activities.
